Hey — Marcelo here 👋
Looks like you were redirected to my previous portfolio.
No worries — you're in the right place. I'm currently building a new version of the site (which is probably where you came from).
In the meantime, feel free to explore this version below — you should still find what you're looking for.
The core presentation of a campaign called “Change My Mind”, created to reshape the future perception of the company.
CTC Communications was widely recognized for its outstanding medical content. Yet despite delivering countless successful design projects — including award-winning work — the agency was still not perceived as a truly creative powerhouse. My mission was to change that.
This project was more than a presentation. It was a strategic turning point.
Working closely with the company’s VP and business analysts, we needed to define a narrative that could reposition CTC Communications in the eyes of current and future clients. The goal was not simply to showcase past work, but to demonstrate that the agency’s design capabilities were as strong and deliberate as its renowned medical expertise. If successful, the presentation could influence how the company approached business development, partnerships, and long-term growth.
The challenge was to build something that honored the company’s strong legacy while introducing a sense of renewal. The presentation had to feel connected to what CTC had already achieved, yet fresh enough to signal a new chapter — one where strategy, communication, and design would stand side by side with medical excellence.
The visual language of the presentation grew from a simple but meaningful element: the triangular geometry embedded in the CTC logo. By expanding this shape into a guiding motif, the design created a visual thread that connected every slide, subtly reinforcing the company’s identity while giving the presentation a distinctive and recognizable rhythm.
Typography played an equally important role. The selected typeface needed to balance clarity and personality — professional enough to support complex medical content, yet expressive enough to signal a more creative and design-driven mindset. Each slide was treated as its own moment of impact, carefully composed to guide the reader’s attention and maintain narrative momentum throughout the presentation.
From alignment and spacing to the weight of each element, every detail was considered. Colors were chosen to complement the showcased projects without competing with them, while compositions blended the work itself with contextual imagery and subtle scenarios. The goal was not simply to display projects, but to evoke the ideas, emotions, and ambitions behind them — a concept within the concept.
In the end, the presentation didn’t just show what the company had done. It reframed how the company wanted to be seen.
Good design communicates. Great design tells a story.
Too often, visual projects are approached as exercises in aesthetics alone, without fully understanding the deeper narrative behind what is being created. Yet humans connect with stories far more powerfully than with isolated facts or data. Research consistently shows that stories can be up to 22 times more memorable than information presented without narrative. They activate more areas of the brain, create emotional engagement, and make complex ideas easier to understand, remember, and believe.
With this in mind, the presentation was crafted as a journey. In a short but impactful sequence, the audience would move from point A to point B, discovering along the way the breadth of creative capabilities within the company. Each slide revealed a new layer of expertise — from digital platforms to branding, graphic design, info graphics, and visual storytelling — demonstrating not only what we had built, but how we approached design as a strategic tool.
The balance between words and imagery was carefully orchestrated to create something immersive and visually compelling. The goal was not simply to present past work, but to tell a story about who we were becoming as a company.
One that invited clients not only to witness that evolution, but to help write the next chapters with us.
Although I designed every page and crafted the initial narrative for the presentation, this project was far from a solo effort.
The communications team played a key role in refining the wording and sharpening the tone of the message, ensuring that the story we were telling remained clear, confident, and compelling. At the same time, collaboration with the Business Analyst and the company’s VP helped guarantee that the narrative aligned perfectly with the broader strategic goals of the organization — not just what we wanted to say, but what the company truly needed to communicate.
I also worked closely with other designers and developers to curate the material featured throughout the presentation, selecting projects that best demonstrated the range and depth of our capabilities. Their insights and contributions helped ensure that every example supported the larger story we were telling.
In the end, the project became a reminder that strong creative work is rarely the result of individual effort alone. It emerges from collaboration, shared expertise, and a clear vision capable of guiding many talents toward the same goal.
